At least 35% of dentists are embezzled from and 17% are embezzled from more than once. According to the Institute of Financial Crime Prevention, there are four conditions in a workplace that provide the opportunities for fraud.  These are:  Poor Internal Controls, Too Much Control Limited to Specific Employees, Lack of Supervision by Management, and Failure to Prescreen Employees Adequately.
